Last part of my Missouri trip

So the funeral was really good. She wasn't LDS so it was different from what I'm use to. I cried my eyes out. Janice sang how great thou art and it was beautiful made me cry even harder. Dorthy looked good. My mom said it was the best make-up job she had ever seen. After the funeral we went to this ladys house name Beta. She was really good friends with Dorthy when they lived in Missouri. She had made us lunch. It was very interesting food. She made three different types of sandwitches. One was chopped up bologna and who knows what, another was a cream cheese with green olives, and then just a cheese sandwitch. It pretty much looked like nacho cheese on bread. I didn't like any of them and I couldn't eat them because they were really nasty. There was also a potato salad that was really gross and cole slaw which tasted weird. So I had potato chips for lunch. After that We drove out to the grave again to see it one last time. Then we drove out to Whiteman Air force base where we got to go in and look around because Janice's brother use to be in the navy or something like that. I saw a steath bomber. It was pretty cool. After that I hung out with my new friends Patrick (janice's nephew who is 19) and Richard (Janices nephew who is 29) They are brothers and really funny! We were going to go swimming but instead we just sat around and talked. Then the three of us plus my mom, Janice and her sister and brother in law went to dinner at a bbq place. It was really good! and we ate and laughed a lot! Then I went and played pin ball with patrick and richard for a minute and then I went back to the motel to go to sleep. We got up the next day checked out of our hotel and went to tour Missouri. We went to the Independece visitor center. Which was really cool. Then to Liberty Jail, that was fun to learn about but I was kind of dissapointed in the actual jail. Then we went to Far West and it was so pretty and calming there. Then we headed out to Adam-ondi-aham (sorry if I spelt that wrong) and it was so pretty there. We were walking around and it started raining and then it started pouring and then hailing and then it was hailing the size of quarters. It was so cool and it just made the place that much more spiritual and exciting. We sat there and watched it for a good half our or so then we left. Then we drove all through the night to denver colorado. I was co-pilot and had to keep the drives awake and so I pulled an all nighter. There was a ton of fog and you couldn't see anything. It was the first time I have ever seen it that thick. We stopped just outside of denver in parker where we slept for like three hours and then got up and went to breakfast with Janice's Sister Anita and her family which is Patrick and Richard and his wife Trish and their cute son Ryder. Then we headed home. It started raining and snowing and it was really pretty. This trip was really good and I made lots of new friends. My favorite friends that I made were Ronnie who was three and he lives in Georgia and has a southern drawl. My favorite thing that he said was "its Dead" and "wheres my mama" he is a pretty fun kid! Then there was Jordan and Oliva who are Ronnie's older sisters. They are way cute! They are 9 and 7. Then Patrick was my buddie and we just goofed off and made fun of each other the whole trip. I'm so glad I got to go and be apart of the funeral. Janice's family is one of the coolest familes I have ever met. They are a little wild and crazy but they are way nice!

Missouri

As you all know our very good friend passed away and so my mom and I went with our friend Janice (it's her mom that died) all the way to Missouri. We decided to drive her moms body to Missouri because it was so expensive to fly her. So we loaded the barrowed Ford Excursion and with me in the back seat and the body and my mom and Janice in the front seat. I thought it would be weird riding with a body by me, but it wasn't too bad. She was boxed up so I couldn't see her but when they took her to the motuary I was sad when I got into the car and her box wasn't there. It didn't feel right. We were in the car for two days driving to Missouri. We stopped in Colorado to spend the night at Janice's sisters house. The next morning we got up and my mom drove Janice's nephew Patricks motorcycle. Then Patrick took me for a ride and it was fun. I will have to post pictures later. Then Janice wanted him to act like he was kissing me so that I could tell my friends I got my first kiss the picture didn't really turn out the way she watned but I couldn't get any closer! We stopped in at Mack Colorado so I could get a picture there because "Mack" is the new word for kiss. Then we hit the road again for like 12 hours. So once we got here it was pretty late we just checked into our room and went to bed. Then the next morning we dropped off the body and drove around Warrensburg Missouri and Janice took us around to all her old houses and was telling us stories about her childhood and about her first kiss and love of her life. She has gone through so much and is probably the strongest person I have ever known. Then some of Janices family got into town and went over to the mortuary to see Mudd before everyone gets there. She looked way good and my mom said that was the best make up job she had ever seen. Then we all went to dinner at a pizza place then we came back to the motel and looked at some picutres and I watched a movie Today, Thursday I got up and got ready and we are getting ready for the viewing tonight. I will keep you updated on the rest of my trip/journey.

Dorthy Van Dyke

Today our very good friend Dorthy Van Dyke passed away. She had been fighting a battle with cancer. We are so blessed to have been able to be apart of her life. We loved going over to the care center to see her and to try and cheer her up. We give our deepest sympathy to her family especially Janice. She was my young womens leader for a couple years and I just adore her. She is truly a great example to me and my family. We love you guys!

The GYM

So the other day Kenyon surprised my mother and I with Golds Gym passes... I was way stoked.... I have never had a gym pass before and I have always wanted to go. Well We went last Friday for a little orientation then our first day was last Saturday. My goal is to loose some weight and tone up. I have been faithfully going everyday for 5 days...My rest day is Sunday. We decided to higher a personal trainer that me and my mom meet with once a week and Kenyon meets with one twice a month. I think this will help me keep going. So today I went to my college class went to school went to the gym and worked out for an hour and ran the mile in 10:48 which isn't too bad...or at least I don't think it is. Then I came home and we cooked and ate dinner then as a service project I went over to Janice Van Dyke's house and pulled weeds for two hours. Boy, are my muscle fatigued! This Saturday I take the ACT which I'm really nervous for.... I hope I do well! :P I guess I always have another chance to take it. I hope everything is going well for everyone! Blog ya later!!!
