St. George Trip/ Haykuhi/ Job

I haven't blogged in a while! So I went to St. George a week ago. It was fun to get to see the family, and enjoy the warm sunshine. While I was there I had to say good bye to my foreign exchange friend Haykuhi (She is from Armenia). We had a dinner for her and it was really fun. We played Quelf! I've decided that I like watching that game more than playing. ha ha but it was still fun. Then I got to see my friend Devin. It was fun to get to see him and catch up on each others lives. He is such a busy guy your lucky to see him for 5 minutes, and he spent the whole night with us. Then Tuesday morning we got up early and went to the St. George airport to say our final goodbyes to Haykuhi. It was a very tearful morning. She is the nicest young lady ever. I hope she does come back to the United States one day! It was a lot of fun to get to know her, and learn about a different culture.... and even try to say a few things in a different language. (which didn't work out to well for me... its all about sounds, and they all sound the same to me.)
Now, I have been having issues at my job for about a week and half, and I have been starting to look for another one, but I won't quit until I have another job. So My coworker put his notice in and his last day was on saturday. I really liked him, so it made me want to leave even more. Then, yesterday when I got to work our district manager was there (which is always scary) She comes into the back room and says you know whats going on right? I said nope... she said Nicole (my manager) is quitting her last day is Thursday. I guess my face changed a lot because she said Nicole didn't tell you... I said no.. she was like oh, I'm so sorry... I thought she would have told you by now. So there was only three of us working there to start out, now its just me. I have to work with the district manager on friday which I'm super nervous about!!! and I work 36 hours a week now... (this was only suppose to be a part time job.) My job was fun, and it helped me a lot, but its definitely time to move on now.

Stress! No Worries!

Its funny what life throws at you.... You'll be living life and its quite peaceful then all of a sudden everything takes a turn for a little bit and you are thinking oh my!! Well I loved my job. I thought it was great, but now its starting to get dramatic. My coworker and I don't really approve of everything that my manager does. We both got written up for not hitting commission, but how are you suppose to hit commission when your strictly walk ins. We can't control how many people on the spur of the moment walking into Walmart decide to get their hair done. What even bugs me more is that when I started she said commission wasn't a big deal.. they (being the corporate) like you to hit commission, but if you don't its ok.... well I guess its never been that way and now you have to hit commission every pay period or you get written up and on the 3rd one you get fired.... To be honest.... I don't think its fare, but what do I know... ok enough of my soap box.... even though I have had a not so good 2 weeks, I've definitely seen how the lord has blessed me. I got to spend some one on one time with my sister which was nice, I have a great family and they listen to my complaints (mainly my mom), I have great friends that cheer me up, and I found 23 dollars while I was cleaning my room yesterday.... I guess everything equals out in the end! :D I'm so excited to be going to St. George tomorrow. It will be a nice escape from everything.

DATE

View Discretion is Advised!!!
Well Last night I went on a date with a guy named Carson. He is cute, and has a good sense of humor. The only catch is that he likes this girl Amy who happened to be doubling with us. I still had fun, but it was a little awkward at times. We went up the canyon and had a fire, and went glowing sticking. (if you don't know what that is, its where your break open the glow sticks and put all the liquid on each other so you glow.) Well It was fun the first 15 minutes and then it got in my eye. It burnt so bad! It said on the package just rinse with water and you'll be fine... well I did that twice, and it didn't work. So from 10:30-1:00am I had an that was on fire, that I couldn't open or else it hurt, if it was closed it hurt, and my eye kept watering. Then It started making my nose run, then the left side of my face started to hurt, then I started getting sick. I was a trooper and and stayed for the whole date, but boy was I ready to get home and shower and rinse my off. When I woke up today it was still blood shot and swollen, but its finally looking normal now. So besides that we made s'mores, roasted star burst, and talked. We had some problems with the fire though.... they made me nervous and almost started a forest fire to say the least. I'm glad that my eye isn't burning and that I can still see! :)
Today I tried going to my wards luau, they said it was at park behind the provo temple. Well I drove for 45 minutes all around the temple, but never found them... so then I came home and watched a movie by myself. Thats a quick up date of my weekend.

Sleep Over

Well last night Madisen and I had a sleep over in the tree house in my backyard. It was really fun, sleeping on a piece of wood isn't very comfortable, but it will definitely be a good memory! It was perfect weather too! We slept up there until 8 which I thought was pretty good. We had planned to get up and go to the provo temple at 5am for baptisms. (its my YSA'S ward temple week) but i looked at my recommend that night and it expired in April! I was so bummed because I really wanted to go, and this was going to be a great opportunity for me, but I guess there is always next week! :D

Family

Today was fast and testimony meeting at church. A girl named Emily stood up and bore her testimony, her mom and dad live in Missouri where the tornado hit. It destroyed their house, but luckily they were ok. She said that its just a house, and what really matters is still here. A lot of what people had to say today was focused on families, so I just want to say how thankful I am for my family! I love each and everyone of them so much and they truly have helped me become the person I am today, and have taught me a lot over my 19 years. I wouldn't be where I am today, or the person I am with out them behind me, encouraging me and supporting me. I'm also thankful for my extended family and all that they do for me, and for their great examples and their love. Families are the best, especially mine! I hope they know how much I love and appreciate them!
