Times are changing!

This has been a long weekend for me. I ended a friendship which was super hard, but I guess in the end its better for me. It's definitely hard to close one chapter of your life and move on to the next, but when one door closes another one opens. :D On the bright side I got to see my mom twice this weekend, and she is coming again next weekend. :D On friday night I went to a bon fire with my roommate Kiley and then we went to her friends house and played games. We crammed like 25 people into a small living room apartment. It was fun to get out and meet new people, although I'm a little sad that I didn't get any digits, but I guess there will be many more opportunities. Then Saturday night I hung out with My friends Justin, and Carson. I watched Carson cut Justin's, and his little brothers hair, then we went to Carson's house and watched Hot Rod. Then Today I went to church and had a good lesson in Relief Society it was on visiting teaching, and it has me motivated to be a better visiting teacher. I'm scared to start, but I know once I do I will learn and grow so much. Then my mom stopped and visited for minute and we got to eat together which is always nice! I love food! Justin, Carson, and Amy came over tonight and we had smores (thanks to Justin) and played farkle, would you rather and watched rush hour one and fivel west. It was a good night.

CALLING

Well it finally came... I was hoping it would take a little longer, but I guess I'm needed. I got a church calling. I'm on the Relief Society Committee. I'm not really sure what all that calling includes, but I plan activities and maybe teach... (teaching kind of scares me...) I'm also a visiting teacher now, and I will do my first "visit" on Sunday. My partner is one of my roommates. This is all a little overwhelming, and I'm super nervous, but I hope I learn a lot, and grow. I have a fear of church callings so hopefully this will help me to overcome them at least a little bit!

Busy Weekend

Sorry mom, I haven't really been home to blog, but here is your update.

Well I had Thursday and Friday off. So I spent it with my grandma. We just watched talk shows, the news, and went grocery shopping. Then I drove home so that I could work Saturday morning. Then after I got off work I drove back to Salt lake and went to my Cousin's birthday party (Chelsey Hendrickson's little boy.) Then I spent the night at my grandmas and I got up Sunday morning and got ready for church and drove to Logan. It was my friend Zach's Farewell (Mustache boy) I have never driven to Logan before, but I thoroughly enjoyed it even though I was by myself. I could see myself living in Logan... Its such a cute little town and its so pretty right now. The mountains were just cover in green plants, and trees, and I just loved it. I don't think I would like the winters there though... So after the farewell he had a lunch thing at the Logan library. I didn't really know anyone but him, and his friend Tyler. So I clung to Tyler. The room we ate in was where the city council meets (I guess) but there is this big long desk with 6 comfortable chairs... of course all the guys ran up there to sit... well they saved me a seat. So I was in the middle of 5 guys. ha ha they all wanted to sit by me which made me laugh! Then we went back to Zach's house and hung out and played a card game... it was a little over my head (I think its called Bang.) Then I had to leave. I hurried back to salt lake, got lost coming home, but I made it to Robby and Lacee's for dinner only 15 minutes late! I love spending time with them. They are so cute together and make me laugh a lot! I'm so thankful that I have had the opportunity to get to know them. I adore and admire both of them. Lincoln is so cute, and he has started walking!! He is going to be the heart throb when he gets older. :)
I meet with a member of the bishopric tomorrow night (wednesday) Brother Webb... I'm thinking he is going to give me a calling... I'm a little nervous!! I just barely got my visiting teaching assignment and that already overwhelms me... but I'm sure what ever the case may be it will help me in the long run.
Just an exciting side note.... my dad gave me 20.00 dollars... haha I was really shocked! but it was nice!!
I've been pretty busy lately, but I've been enjoying it!

So Excited!!!

So I have been really home sick the past little bit. I feel like I have been gone for over a year and its only been a month and a half. I'm so excited to be home and see all my family and to be in the warm sunshine! I don't think Thursday can get here fast enough! On a side note, I went to church on sunday, and I was just telling my roommate that this is the first Mother's Day that I haven't had to talk ( so I've only only talked on two, but still) Not even a minute later the bishops secretary came over and was like Rilee would you say the opening prayer.... UHHH.... Totally ruined that. So I said yes, because I need the blessings. I got super nervous and shaky ( there are only 500 young single adults in my ward) Then the counselor conducting said "Brother Rilee Snyder will say our opening prayer... then I felt even more dumb, Oh ya on top of it I burnt my neck with the curling iron that morning and it probably looked like a hickey, but I swear its not! Its definitely a burn!! Then after my roommate and I went to the munch and mingle (free food, and the hopes of making new friends! Count me in!) Well I did make a new friend his name is Horhey (I don't know how to spell it but thats how you say it.) He was born in the Dominican Republic, then moved to New York when he was five, grew up there, moved to Utah 5 years ago and was converted. He was super nice and had a cool story!

P.s.

I forgot to mention in the last post about the snow! Well on Friday night it started snowing!! The end of April and it was freezing cold! We got like a half inch but it mostly melted by the next evening. Which was nice. I'm not so sure how I feel about this cold weather! I definitely miss sunny St. Geezy!

Red Boots, Thanksgiving Point, and snow.

Its been awhile since I have posted something so I figured I bet get on that. So this past weekend my friend Hayden, and his mom came to Orem (They came to go to a museum). We all went out to dinner on Friday night. We went to P.F. Changs. It was really good, and it was a lot of food. Then Hayden and I went to the Nickel City (arcade) and played there for a little bit then we rented to redbox movies The Tourist, and Skyline (skyline was a little boring). Then Saturday morning we all went to Thanksgiving point and walked around the gardens. They are so pretty all the flowers are in bloom or just starting to bloom. There were tons of pansies, and tulips. Very very pretty. Then we walked around the shops, and I found Red Cowgirl boots, that I happened to fall in love with.... but of course they are 200.00. Maybe one day I will get red boots, but for now they will have to be put on hold. :) Then I went to Church on Sunday and it was really good. Our sunday school lesson was on when Christ healed the blind man. Our teacher did a great job! At the very end she called on a guy in the class to come up and sing the first verse of Amazing Grace. (it was just on the spot.) He did a great job, and he has an amazing voice! I also made a new friend at church. His name is Trevor. We kind of chatted throughout the sunday school lesson. Then I went to my Grandma Joan's for dinner. I just enjoy being with family on sunday, and I'm grateful that she is up here. Then I went and saw my sister and our friend Michell and we had good night. Then I spent the night at my grandmas because I didn't feel like driving home. All in all it was a good weekend. Hopefully this week is full of fun! On the bright side only two weeks until I get to go home!!!!!!! :D
